# ORDER DAYS FULL OF FREQUENCY WITH RETURNED INTERNATIONAL FLAIR
# FRESH OPTIMISM FOR AUTUMN/WINTER 2023/24
# LIABILITIES BETWEEN EXHIBITORS AND TRADE
The four order days of Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf from 27 to 30 January 2023 end today, Monday.
What was already apparent on the first day of the fair, Friday 27 January, was confirmed on all days: The desire to order and concentrate is there! Buyers are looking for new trend items that will make the assortment for Autumn/Winter 2023/24 exciting and stand out from the crowd.
The 23rd edition of Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf has shown that a positive change is taking place after the last two years of corona-induced behavior in the market. Already on Thursdays before the official start of the fair, exhibitors and customers concentrated on placing the first orders on the platform. Expectations of visitor frequency were then exceeded from the first day of the fair to the end of the fair. Once anchored in the fair’s history as strong order days on Saturday and Sunday, the frequency was continuously distributed over all four days.
Fresh optimism and the search for innovative product ranges
It is particularly noteworthy that, although exhibitors were expecting subdued orders, the trade and buyers, on the other hand, started the new season with fresh optimism and were surprised.
Buyers are looking for new collections, especially in their segment, that compensate for the recent price increases in the luxury segment and that do not fall short with qualitative, high-quality and design-innovative assortments.
“We are very pleased that our Supreme Women&Men is increasingly perceived
as a boutique ordering platform where buyers view and, above all, find new collections that reflect current trends, move away from uniformity and interchangeability and trigger strong interest and emotions in the trade. It was noticeable that both sides, buyers and exhibitors, took more time and the length of stay of the visitors increased overall. Buyers kept and kept appointments, liabilities were created, a large number of new customers found their way to us and the curated variety of labels. In addition to our regular exhibitors, who make up 70% of our portfolio, our visitors also find brands here that the end consumer does not yet know and that characterizes the appeal of Supreme Women&Men.” –Aline Müller-Schade, Managing Director of The Supreme Group.
Internationality returns
Not only is the desire to order returning, but the internationality of buyers has also increased significantly after Corona. Over all four order days, Supreme Women&Men welcomed buyers, boutique owners and decision-makers from South Korea, the East Coast of the USA, Canada, China, Scandinavia, Israel, the Baltic countries such as Lithuania and Latvia, Central Asia with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan or Kyrgyzstan and Russia, in addition to its DACH core market.
Christian Sanders | Scandanavian Edition:
“A fair is only as good as you prepare it. You have to have done your homework and be creative. We had a good feeling and are happy to have been here. The platform offers a lot of potential to attract more ‘young’ brands – this is where we like to be an impulse generator.”
Kevin Karvatzki | Max Mara
“In general, we had super many appointments and customers came – not only from Germany but also from the Baltic States, Scandinavia, Lithuania, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia. We’ve also been able to get new clients, and have been writing well.”
Annelies Boulangier | due amanti
“This was our first time at Supreme Women&Men and we already made appointments with potential retailers at the end of last year. The appointments were kept and we also wrote directly with these customers. With international buying houses and retailers we were able to write on the spot.”
Gudrun Lenz | Agentur Lenz – Philip Tyler | Claus Tyler
“We agree: there was a positive basic mood among the retailers and everyone is finally on the road again. Agreed deadlines were met and new partnerships are opening up.”
Stefan Naber | Miss Goodlife
“We again got a lot of new customers on the platform – also big houses- The customers love colour and especially our special prints. Friends of the house have paid us a visit, including Frauke Ludowig.”
